We are nearing the end of our sixth year in business and have grown to 20 employees and now do nearly $25 million in gross volume. The significant majority of our business is in the packaged goods chemical sector. In addition to van, reefer, hazmat, flatbed and tanker endorsed truckload shipments, we now also have an LTL department. Our business with our existing base of customers continues to grow and we have been fortunate to have added many new customers over the past five years. Two years ago we added a retirement program for our employees and last year we added health insurance. We will continue to do the things in the future that have facilitated the growth and success we have had. While our company has been in business for a short time, it was founded with a long term focus.
That focus is to develop strategic partnerships with truckload carriers and shippers and to collaborate with them to provide exceptional service and capacity, no matter the market. Proactive communication, excellent service, honesty and fairness are the cornerstones of our business.
We work hard to avoid spot market pricing. We work hard to find the right carrier both for the sake of the carrier and for the sake of the shipper. We are a transparent organization, both internally and externally. We believe in the concept of openness. We work to understand the legitimate costs of our carrier base. Working this way allows both our carriers and shippers to work as collaborators. Trust and innovation are key concepts in our business model. That’s why two years ago we internally created proprietary software that allows us to find those hard to find carriers that help us to provide fairly priced capacity to our shippers.
